In the olden days, the hard part for most retailers was putting their unique products in front of their customers. Once they did that, more often than not, the choice was made by the consumer and the purchase closed. Today that just isn’t reality any more. We are constantly shopping – even if we’ve made up our mind on what we’d like to buy. There is great distance between what we want and where we spend our money and the influence mobile has on this decision. Purchases no longer happen from A to B in a straight line and this needs to factor in as we try to understand the contribution mobile is having on our shopping behaviours.
