BeardMe, the “premier facial hair application for the iPhone and iPod Touch” was something I needed to see. Could anyone be making money from an app that let me put facial hair on picture of my 3-year old? Answering that question is what moved me to get in touch with Vijay Mathews and Chris Auyeung, the co-founders of Winfield & Co. Once I got them on the show it didn’t take a genius to figure out that the combination of Vijay, Chris and Winfield & Co was the blueprint for the next generation AppPreneur.

Their story is interesting and intriguing — they’ve built and launched 9 apps in 18 months, a period that will be classified as a warm up for what they say is coming from their next application. They’ve managed to figure out how to work together — an incredible feat considering they work in separate offices in separate cities and considering that not many partnerships work out.

I really enjoyed talking to these guys and marveled at the amount of effort it took to create the perfect fake beard — something they were surprised about as well!
