When news broke of Jeff Bezos acquiring the Washington Post for $250 million it set off a chain reaction across the industry. Bezos is the prototype for CEO’s in this century and won’t enter into anything lightly or without the plan to disrupt. I firmly believe this will usher in a new era for newspapers brought on by a mind that understands digital, commerce and mobile – a very potent cocktail of awesome when combined with distribution.
