Where’s the Money? Episode #4: Will Bump disrupt Foursquare?

Welcome to our NEW newest show: “Where’s The Money?”. It is here we try to decipher the way some of the more popular mobile applications and services will generate cold hard cash. The industry is full of promise but only a handful of companies will crack the buck. “Where’s The Money” is where we put them to the test.

Bump recently launched a more simplified version of their contact sharing application and in doing so removed a number of features – in essence bringing it back to its core use. Is this a good move and what impact will this have on their ability to make money – does it make it easier or harder? Douglas and I discuss, and investigate how a monetized Bump could disrupt Foursquare revenue.
