Probably a weird question to ask these days given that Google is the dominant web advertising revenue king, owns a greater than 50% market share in the mobile operating system space and is a leader in mapping software, self-driving cars, established in the social sphere with Google+ and so on and so on.
So what would spark our concern over the ability for this company that generates a very profitable $35 billion per year? Well, disruption baby, that’s what. Technology cycles are cycles for a reason and while Google has won the online advertising game there is disruption in the air and it smells like mobile.
