Popcap has signed an exclusive deal to launch two new Android titles on Amazon’s Android store – Chuzzle and Plants versus Zombies. Is this a perfect example of great retail smarts (Amazon) trumping great engineering smarts (Google)?

With the rumours floating around about Microsoft buying the mobile arm of Nokia we look at what the powerful combination of Microsoft, SKYPE and Nokia would mean for our industry, the impact on carriers and some of the pros and cons of such a huge move.

We finish off with a discussion about building a free version of a paid app with some advice on different strategies we have implemented over the years to ensure success in the app market place.
