MoreMagic: How mobile commerce and banking can lift entire economies – with CEO Pankaj Gulati

What is the impact of mobile commerce? That question is the reason I asked Pankaj Gulati to come on to and talk about what his company, MoreMagic, is doing and how it is having a material impact on people around the world.

In developed nations we tend to see mobile commerce as a way to facilitate a transaction but it is the unbanked – the developing nations – that are truly leading the cash-less mobile transaction/banking charge. Listening to Pankaj describe the micro and macro economic changes happening as a result of what they are doing is inspirational and shows the absolute power that mobile can have in raising economies – let alone businesses – from the most unlikely of sources.

If you are at all interested in understanding the massive opportunity that will come as a result of mobile banking and commerce then this is the episode for you. By then end, you get the genuine feeling that Pankaj and his team are building this company to eliminate poverty and they are doing it by enabling commerce through a mobile.
