Hacking music and why we need to adopt the hacker ethic to move humanity forward – with Tim Soo

Every once in a while I come across great talent. Pure, pristine, natural talent. But, as we all know, talent is often not enough and needs an obsessive work ethic and an insatiable curiosity. That’s Tim Soo in a nutshell.

Classically trained in violin, piano and voice and now in first year med school at UPenn, he started by hacking music with his Invisible Instrument project (SUPPORT HIM ON KICKSTARTER HERE!) which we talk about in detail throughout this session. But what I found really inspiring from this session is the perspective that everything should be looked at through a different scope – he is now interested in finishing school and hacking the medical profession.

This is a fun episode with Tim and I have a feeling we will be hearing from and about him in the coming years.
