Gigwalk: How they are creating a “just in time” mobile workforce – with co-founder Ariel Seidman

Can a mobile application stimulate job development? And if so, what kinds of jobs would companies be willing to offer to a mobile workforce and what would that mobile workforce be willing to do on spec. This is where the conversation started with Ariel Seidman, co-founder of Gigwalk.

Gigwalk is a mobile application that marries jobs (gigs) with gigwalkers (think of them as burstable employees) and I asked Ariel on for an episode to talk about his experience building and launching this product. This episode covers a ton around his startup process including why they turned down early financing, why they were in beta for 6 months, how they closed funding with some of the silicon valley super angels, how they found their first customer, how they are generating revenue and how companies benefit from using this service for jobs they would never have considered sourcing before.

Enjoy!
