Deckster: How to design, manufacture, fund and brand a high-end mobile accessory company – with co-founder Dom Coballe

Who doesn’t like to accessorize their mobile devices? Cases, stickers, headphones, car mounts, you name it and it is available. These accessories are beginning to define the products – think the Jawbone headset back in the day – and they actually mean that the industry is at a tipping point of acceptance.

Meet Dom Coballe, an Ottawa-based entrepreneur and co-founder of N-Product, makers of Deckster, the elegant iPod Nano watch band.

I asked Dom to come on the show to talk about the process he went through to build and brand Deckster and what ensued was a deeper conversation on their design and development philosophy and the power and influence of Gary Vaynerchuk.

Watch this to understand what it takes to build, manufacture and finance a product company focused on the mobile industry.

Enjoy!
